Job Description

• Process multi-state payroll activities related to new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, and retroactive adjustments.

• Review, respond and forward tax agency inquiries and/or updates.

• Review, respond and set up garnishments as applicable.

• Review and verify timecard entries in the Time and Attendance System (including obtaining 100% approval of timecards from employees and their managers).

• Interface with employees to answer questions and provide assistance and guidance on payroll related issues.

• Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for ways to streamline work processes and build efficiencies that allow for scaling of payroll services.

• Assist with related special projects.

• Partnering with internal customers spanning all departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

• 4-6 years of experience with payroll processing or accounting functions (GL preferred).

• Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations.

• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word and Excel) required; experience with Ceridian/Dayforce is highly desirable.

• Skills: analytical, auditing, report writing, detail orientation, collaboration, customer service, process improvement, multi-tasking in a high-volume, fast-paced and collaborative environment, and adapting to changing work environments.

• Experience with 5000 employees payroll a major plus.

• Canadian payroll experience a plus.

• Heavy non-exempt experience and special pays experience is a plus.

• Ability to craft written communications for all organizational levels.

• Able to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $56,646 – $80,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
